Mahabubabad

Mahabubabad Lok Sabha Constituency is one of the 17 parliamentary constituencies in Telangana and is reserved for Scheduled Tribes (ST). Located in the eastern part of the state, the constituency covers large parts of Mahabubabad district and portions of Warangal, Mulugu and Bhadradri Kothagudem districts. The constituency is characterised by its significant tribal population, extensive forest cover and predominantly rural economy.

The region lies within the Godavari River basin and is home to several tribal communities, including Lambadas, Koyas, Gonds and other indigenous groups. Agriculture remains the primary source of livelihood, with paddy, cotton, maize, chilli and pulses cultivated across the constituency.
