Secunderabad

Secunderabad Lok Sabha Constituency is one of the 17 parliamentary constituencies in Telangana and is located in the northern part of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Region. One of the oldest parliamentary constituencies in the state, it covers a large portion of Hyderabad's urban core and suburban growth corridors. The constituency derives its name from Secunderabad, the historic cantonment town established during the Nizam era, which later evolved into a major commercial, residential and military centre.

The constituency is characterised by rapid urbanisation, a diverse population and a strong service-sector economy. It includes some of Hyderabad's most prominent residential neighbourhoods, commercial districts, educational institutions and defence establishments. Information technology, healthcare, education, retail trade, real estate and professional services form the backbone of the local economy. Excellent transportation infrastructure, including Hyderabad Metro Rail, MMTS and major arterial roads, has further strengthened its position as one of Telangana's most economically vibrant constituencies.

Secunderabad has been one of Telangana's most politically significant urban constituencies.
