Nalgonda

Nalgonda Lok Sabha Constituency is one of the 17 parliamentary constituencies in Telangana and is located in the south-eastern part of the state. Centred around Nalgonda city, the constituency covers large parts of Nalgonda district and is one of Telangana's most agriculturally significant and politically influential parliamentary seats.

The constituency is known for its extensive irrigation network, agricultural productivity and historical role in Telangana's socio-political movements. The Nagarjuna Sagar Project, one of India's largest irrigation projects, has transformed much of the region into a fertile agricultural belt. Agriculture remains the backbone of the local economy, with paddy, cotton, chilli, maize and pulses cultivated extensively across the constituency.
