Sriperumbudur Lok Sabha Constituency is one of the 39 parliamentary constituencies in Tamil Nadu and is located in the western outskirts of Chennai. Covering large parts of Kancheepuram district and portions of Chengalpattu district, the constituency has emerged as one of India's fastest-growing industrial and manufacturing hubs. Strategically located along the Chennai–Bengaluru Industrial Corridor, Sriperumbudur is widely recognised as the "Manufacturing Capital of Tamil Nadu."

The constituency is home to major automobile manufacturers, electronics companies, mobile phone manufacturers, industrial parks and Special Economic Zones (SEZs). Several multinational corporations have established manufacturing facilities here, making the region one of India's leading destinations for foreign direct investment (FDI). Sriperumbudur has traditionally been one of Tamil Nadu's most politically significant parliamentary constituencies. Since the 2008 delimitation, it has witnessed closely contested elections involving the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), Indian National Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
