Latest update — June 2026 biennial election
The 2026 Rajya Sabha election in Andhra Pradesh was a formality. With the NDA alliance holding an overwhelming majority in the 175-member Assembly, all four nominees were elected unopposed.
The terms of four members ended on 21 June 2026 — Alla Ayodhya Rami Reddy, Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose and Parimal Nathwani (all YSRCP), along with Sana Sathish Babu (TDP).
Of the four new entrants (term: 22 June 2026 – 21 June 2032), the TDP took three seats — Sana Sathish Babu was re-elected and joined by Bhashyam Ramakrishna and Chintakayala Vijay — while the Jana Sena Party opened its presence in the Upper House through Lingamaneni Ramesh.
With this, all four seats previously held by outgoing incumbents are now controlled by the ruling NDA alliance.
